Sometimes a new adventure begins where the busy tourist routes come to an end.
From the 2027 season onwards, Happy2Sailing will be starting a new chapter. Our sailing base is moving to Messolonghi, on the west coast of Greece. We are looking forward to sailing in an area that combines authentic cruising, a relaxed atmosphere and outstanding cruising opportunities.
The modern Messolonghi Marina is set within a protected lagoon and offers more than 380 berths, together with excellent facilities and services. At the same time, it remains peaceful and far removed from the crowded charter bases found elsewhere in the Ionian.
From Messolonghi, a whole new range of cruising options opens up. Passing through the Gulf of Patras, you enter the Ionian Sea, home to some of Greece’s most beautiful sailing destinations. Ithaca, Kefalonia, Lefkada, Meganisi and Zakynthos are all within easy reach for one or multi-week cruises. The mainland coastline is equally rewarding, with its small harbours, traditional fishing villages and secluded bays offering the chance to experience a quieter, more authentic side of Greece.

Messolonghi itself has a character all of its own. This historic town is surrounded by the sea, lagoons and protected wetlands. Instead of large tourist resorts, you’ll find welcoming tavernas, genuine Greek hospitality and an atmosphere that invites you to slow down. It is this authenticity that makes the area so special.
We founded Happy2Sailing because we wanted to share our passion for sailing. Not as a large charter company, but in a personal way, with plenty of time for every guest.
That will not change in Messolonghi. We know the area, we are there ourselves, and we enjoy sharing our experience with those who sail with us. Many of our guests appreciate this personal approach, which offers something quite different from a standard charter holiday.
Getting here is straightforward. The nearest international airport is Preveza, approximately 90 minutes away. Patras/Araxos Airport is another convenient option. If you’re travelling by car, the modern Ionian Motorway (A5) provides easy access, connecting Messolonghi with Athens and northern Greece.
